Hello there and welcome to my rocking workbench!

Today I thought I’d share with you my current works in progress, and let you see what I’m up to at the moment.

I’m mainly working on small stones. and just trying out a few new ideas – I hope you like them. I love getting feedback so please do leave a comment and let me know what you think.

This is actually a large (ish) stone that I’m working on for my wife – there’s a lot left to do here – but I hope you can see where I’m going

The ‘Winged Serpent Pub’ stone – I just fancied writing something in runes!

Just a basic sword and shield stone – I’m still working on the sword but the shield is done. I love painting shields and heraldry, it’s a lot of fun and the designs are endless (and that’s before you start making them up!)

The sword in the the stone stone… Started last night. This is actually the second image of this legend I’ve painted, it’s such a powerful image that I hope to do more

Lol – this is very much a work in progress! One of the issues with painting medieval themed rocks is that at some point I’m going to have to do some knights, and horses. The only issue with that is that I’m not very good at either.. yet. This is my first practice. So far I’ve only blocked in the colours started to fill in the detail, and I’m pretty happy with it. I think the proportions are starting to look good!

And lastly, this was me just messing about with backgrounds and stippling – I’m thinking of painting some Celtic knot-work on it. Please feel free to offer suggestions!
